Robert L. Pincus, MD, FACS

Robert L. Pincus, M.D. is a board-certified otolaryngologist with decades of experience in the medical and surgical management of disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and voice. A founding partner of the New York Otolaryngology Group, along with Dr. Scott Gold, he now serves as its Site Director within Northwell Health. Over the course of his career, Dr. Pincus has also served as director of several ENT departments across the New York metropolitan area, reflecting his longstanding leadership in the field. He is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology at the Zucker School of Medicine and was formerly on the faculty of both the Mount Sinai Health System and New York Medical College, where he contributed extensively to resident education and academic training.

Dr. Pincus’ current clinical focus includes advanced sinus care, with particular expertise in the evaluation and treatment of smell and taste disorders. He is among the clinicians utilizing platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy as an emerging option for patients with persistent chemosensory loss. In addition, he has extensive experience in the care of the professional voice, drawing on years of work with performers, speakers, and other voice-dependent professionals throughout New York City’s artistic and professional communities. He is one of the few surgeons nationally skilled in performing thyroplasty 3B which lowers the natural pitch of a patient’s voice.

His practice reflects a blend of academic rigor, clinical expertise, and a deep understanding of the diverse population he serves.
